Quality Manager

To drive improvement activity to ensure that the quality performance meets customer and
internal expectations through the adoption of Quality and Lean tools to increase departmental operational effectiveness and efficiency. Lead, develop and performance manage all aspects of the Quality function’s people, processes and practices.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop strong relationships with local customers (or suppliers); personally drive
customer (or supplier) improvement activity to promote the long term interest of the business.
· Lead and develop the local technical team to ensure the team’s capability meets current and future requirements in support of Function and Company strategies.
· Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the technical team to ensure department performance exceeds business needs.
· Improve business performance by identifying key areas for business improvement, then lead and sponsor improvement projects to ensure the site (or department) has an active Continuous Improvement Plan to improve performance.
· To ensure compliance to Quality Management System to maintain external
accreditations and any specific customer approvals.
· Participation in improvement activities at department / company level to enhance business performance.
· Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual.
· Undertake other duties and tasks that may be allocated that are appropriate to the job.
